Spices and seasonings- Salt, freshly cracked pepper and dried herbs like oregano and thyme are what we will use here.Any short pasta like Cavatelli, Orecchiette, short elbow pasta or Ditalini pasta also works well here. My bet for this soup is on whole wheat orzo. I have taken to this short pasta recently. While you can use plain water, I recommend stock for best results.
